In this season God is calling you…
A few months ago
, I had a dream of being a college student. I’ve had similar dreams with a similar storyline; however, the message was different this time around. I sat in a classroom amongst other students preparing to take my final- a final that I hadn’t studied for. As a matter of fact, it was my first time walking into the classroom all semester in this dream. I had not completed any homework all semester, yet I expected to pass my final exam, in this dream. I was the oldest in the classroom and thought that my years of experience granted me the wisdom to pass the exam without any preparation. As I sat at the desk, students quickly finished their exam and I thought, “If only I had studied …even a few chapters.” In my prayer and reflection time shortly after I opened my eyes from this interesting dream, the words, New Season and Transition, entered my mind. A couple nuggets of wisdom were revealed:
It’s important to be prepared to take the test. What test are you continuously being asked to pass? What has God been wanting to show you and you’re not ready to receive, you’re allowing distractions & emotions to hinder you, or you’re allowing yourself or your circumstances to keep you from moving forward? Have you done the work to enter the next season?
Remember that the lesson learned is not a one-time thing, but a journey & a process.
To whom much is received, much will be required (Luke 12:48)! We can no longer show up in this new season the way we have shown up in the world previously. In this season, God is calling us to show up in a different, deeper, and more spiritually mature way. Seek Him with a level of intensity and intentionality.
Important to know that in this season, God requires more of us so let’s show up and be ready! God is calling us to a higher standard, level of faith, focus, wisdom, obedience, sacrifice, vulnerability and surrender, resources, and time.
