DR. CHANEL
SERANO
Dr. Chanel A. Serano is a southern California Christian published author and founder of Esther’s Daughters LLC, a faith-based agency focused on the unique needs of single moms providing tools to help them strengthen their relationship with God, self, and children. She wrote her first book and accompanying workbook, CoParenting with Christ: 9 Steps to Achieving Harmony, and is working on her second book. Dr. Serano leads a single mother’s ministry at her home church. She has a doctor of education degree in counseling psychology and has been in the helping profession for over two decades. She works in a leadership capacity for a local governmental agency and works as an adjunct instructor.

GET TO KNOW | DR. CHANEL
I was a 20-year-old college student when I discovered that I was pregnant. Several months later, I was holding my son looking into the eyes of this precious gift fearfully wondering what the world had in store. I knew that life was going to have its challenges and goals would be postponed, but not canceled. And on July 27, 2008, one day after my birthday, I chose to give my life to Christ. Life has thrown its curveballs with unhealthy relationships, almost losing my home, health challenges, but as Psalm 75 states, God sent His thousands of angels to protect and guide us reminding me in my lowest times that God always has the last word, to be thankful to Him at all times, and to be intentional in transforming out of my old ways and to grow in my relationship with Him. Did I make mistakes after? Yes! Did I make poor choices? Absolutely. I chose to commit my everything to God and through this breakthrough, Esther’s Daughters LLC was birthed.
